Healthy techniques to manage anxiety and lose weight with adequate intake of protein

Adequate intake of protein helps stabilize the hormonal disorder thus control cravings and helps in weight loss.

Protein is a macronutrient like carbohydrates and fats, could be termed as the building blocks of life or organic compound composed of 22 amino acids.

Protein is necessary to:

- Repair tissue

- To produce hormones and enzymes.

- Carry oxygen around the body through the blood.

- Must be between 10% and 35% of what we eat daily.

- Higher in men than in women.

Important for:

- Maintenance of muscle mass.

- Strengthens the immune system.

- Strengthens the heart.

Protein and Weight:

• Helps control hunger and anxiety.

• The appetite control signal travels faster than any other macronutrient.

Speed ??up your resting metabolism. Minimizes the rise and fall of blood sugar.

Sources of Protein

• There are many sources of protein but contain fat.

• Protein Soy beans, nuts and whole grains are the best.

It is very important to know the amount of protein that give us the food we eat daily and how much your body needs based on weight.

Then I give to know the foods that can provide the protein you need daily:

• 7 egg whites: 25 g.

• 1 cup cheese (lean without salt): 28 g.

• 6 oz. Yogurt (nonfat, no sugar): 5 grams.

• 1 cup milk (if fat): 10 g.

Meats:

• 3 oz. Chicken breast: 25 g.

• 3 oz. Beef: 25 oz.

• 4 oz. Turkey Ham: 18 g.

Fish:

- 4 oz. Tuna (in water): 27 g.

- 3 oz.Pescado white: 25 to 31 grams.

- 4 oz. Seafood: 22 to 24 grams.

Beans, lentils and grains:

- ½ cup lentils: 9 oz.

- ½ cup black beans: 7 grams.

- ¼ part of Tofu: 7 oz.

Low-calorie snacks

• It is not wrong to get used to eating between meals.

• You need to snack mid-morning and mid afternoon.

• It is best not to spend more than 3 hours between meals.

• The best thing is a sandwich or snack rich in protein.
